Free quote and estimate templates
These are free, printable templates for the documents a service business sends most: trade-specific quotes and estimates, and the policies that sit on them. Each one is written for a particular trade, with its own units, a filled-in example and the clauses that trade tends to need. Download the PDF or copy the wording.
Why a template per trade
A generic estimate form has a description column and a price column, and nothing else. That is fine until the customer asks what was included. A fence estimate needs runs, heights and a line about the property boundary; a cleaning quote needs a task list by room; a painting estimate needs coats and sheen. The templates below are built around those details, so the document answers the questions before the customer asks them.

Getting the most out of any template
- Fill in every bracket Placeholders left in a sent quote look careless. Replace them or delete the line.
- Give it a validity date Material prices move. An end date protects you from honoring an old number.
- Keep your terms on the document Deposit, cancellation and change rules belong on the page the customer signs, not only on your website.
- Save your version Once a template is filled in the way you work, keep it as your master copy for the next job.
From PDF to a signed link
PDFs work, but they get lost in inboxes. Scopie turns the same content into a quote your customer opens from an email, with your business name at the top, optional extras they can tick, and your terms saved as clauses. They sign on their phone, and the signed quote becomes a scheduled job and later an invoice.
Template questions
- Are these templates really free?
- Yes. Every template can be read on its page, downloaded as a PDF and copied into your own documents. There is no form to fill in and no email address to give.
- Can I put my own logo and terms on them?
- Yes. The PDFs are starting points: replace the bracketed placeholders with your business details, your prices and your own wording, and delete what does not apply.
- What is the difference between a quote and an estimate?
- In everyday use many contractors treat them as the same thing. Where a difference is made, an estimate is an informed guess that may change, while a quote is a fixed price for the scope described. Whichever word you use, say on the document whether the price can change and why.
- Do I need software to use them?
- No. They work on paper or as PDFs. If you want the same document as a link your customer signs online, you can build it in Scopie from your saved items and clauses.
